School meals are provided by 'Independent Catering' a local specialist FRESH FOOD caterer offering varied menus using fresh British meat, fresh vegetables, fresh salad and fresh fruit every day. All meals are prepared on site by skilled and fully trained staff.

The daily price for a main meal and dessert is currently £2.20, paid in advance.
Each day pupils will be asked if they are having a school dinner or a packed lunch (children can decide on the day if they are having a school dinner). Those having a school dinner will be asked which choice they would like at lunchtime and given a coloured band (see below). You might like to discuss the options available with your child to help them decide.
This band is given in at the lunch counter and a corresponding meal is served, however they always cook a little extra just in case!
A salad bar is available for those that prefer raw vegetables rather than the cooked daily selection, or to complement any of the meals. A selection of pudding choices are offered including a hot or cold dessert, cheese and biscuits, yoghurt and sliced fresh fruit.
Independent Catering use a cashless payment system. A Squid Pin number (16 digits & 3 CVV number) is allocated to each pupil and distributed by individual letter via the School. Using this number you can access their web site www.independentcatering.co.uk , register your details and add credit to your account which is debited each time your child has a meal at school. You can log on to their website to see your balance, which meals were purchased and any credits made. An auto top-up facility is available so your child will not run out of credit.
If you are unable to access your sQuid account then please email sQuid on firstname.lastname@example.org, giving the essential information such as your child's name and the name of the school with details of the problems you are experiencing.
