Dear Terrific Team 5,

We hope the first two days of Term 5 have treated you well and wasn't too much of a shock to the system.

This week your learning is going to be based around food and where it has come from. It might feel like the world is closing off but it's actually in your kitchen cupboards!

As Martin Luther King said, "Before you finish breakfast, you’ve depended on half the world."

To begin, we would love for you to explore the food you currently have in your cupboards, fridge and freezer. By reading the product packaging, can you find out where it has come from? Is any of your food grown or produced locally?

If you would like, you could map where the food has come from – see the picture below for inspiration. We have included a world map in the ‘Other Learning’ folder for you under ‘Geography’.

Most of your learning will link to food, the world and life cycles. We hope you enjoy this week’s theme!

As always it is completely up to you how you structure your day and you may have already developed a routine that works for you and your family.

Most importantly, enjoy time with your family and be kind, safe and responsible.
