Charities We Support

Our School Council is a body of children who represent the views of our pupils to the Senior Leadership Team and the School Governing body.  Two children from each Year Group are chosen to represent their year from Year 2 up to Year 6.

The School Council is also responsible for choosing the charities that the school will support each year. After deliberation and having viewed short films, the children have decided on TWO charities for us to support this year.

Warchild protects, educates and stands up for the rights of children caught up in war.  So far, Warchild has helped over 126,000 children in countries that are at war.  Warchild keeps children safe and gives them an education so that they have a chance of a better life as adults.  Right now there are more than 75 million children out of school in 35 countries at war.  The charity is one of the only charities that helps educate children.  The ‘Learn to Live’ project raises money to buy books, hire teachers, build places to learn and create adventures for the children to enjoy.
