St. John's CEP School is a Voluntary Controlled Church of England School situated in Tunbridge Wells. Christian values are at the heart of all we do and our Christian ethos is very strong.
We have strong links with our parent Church of St. John's and enjoy the excellent relationship we have with them. We believe that every child is an individual with different needs and that it is our role to ‘Nurture the Potential in everyone’.
We hope that when children leave us they are ready for secondary school and that we have provided them with foundations for life. We try to develop individual talents and personalities, as well as stressing the importance of responsibility and independence. Our children are encouraged to fully participate in all school life has to offer them.
In March 2023 Ofsted judged us to be a good school. I am delighted the inspectors noted that, ‘the school values of honesty, respect, empathy, courage and inclusivity are woven through the fabric of daily life’. Please go to our Ofsted page to see the full report.
Niall Dosad BSc (Hons) NPQH Headteacher
We are pleased to confirm that school will reopen tomorrow, Friday 5th December.
This follows the arrival of a substantial bottled water delivery this afternoon and the return of mains water to the site. We have completed robust health and safety checks, including reviews of our water supply, catering, and cleaning arrangements, and the site is now safe to open.
Please see communication from Mr Dosad regarding further details about the return to school.
