Citizen Advice

We would like to advise you of a scheme that is operating by Citizen Advice and is supporting people in Kent who are struggling financially or need support to manage the rising cost of living through its new Money Advice Hub. The service is completely free and confidential. People can access the service online by visiting www.kentmoneyadvicehub.com (with video call and webchat functions) or by calling the freephone number on 0800 808 5622 by phone from Monday – Friday between 8am – 8pm. It can also be accessed using one of five kiosks installed in community spaces in Gravesham, Cliftonville, Ramsgate, Aylesham and Ashford.

Tennis for Girls

I am an LTA qualified tennis coach working with Jarrett Tennis School based at St. John’s Tennis Club in Tunbridge wells. I am passionate about the importance of girls being active, happy, and making new friends through fun team games and activities on court.

I will be running a 6-week beginner course on Wednesdays and Saturdays for girls-only (aged 4-8 years old) who have never tried tennis before called Prime Video LTA Youth Girls Intro Course. Starting on Wednesday 6^th November at 5pm, and Saturday 9^th November at 10.30am at St John’s Tennis Club. Each girl who signs up for the course will receive a free tennis racket, tennis balls, a T-shirt and wrist bands in the post prior the sessions, so they are able to practice as much as they like.

 

Prime Video LTA Youth Girls is a junior tennis coaching programme designed to inspire thousands of girls to pick up a racket and try tennis for the first time. Funded by the reinvestment of Prime Video’s US Open broadcast fees from Emma Raducanu's historic 2021 final - the programme focuses on creating an environment that motivates girls to enjoy and stay in tennis by giving them the chance to play with friends in a pressure free setting.

Crowborough Athletic Football Club

Crowborough Athletic Football Club is looking to grow their local girls football team. After the success of England Lionesses Football victory, there seems no better time to start this inspiring sport.  Crowborough Athletic Football Club has been running successfully for the last two years, they have a fantastic set up for girls of all ages from aged 5 upwards. No previous experience necessary just the desire to make friends, have fun and play football.

Love the Game

We are Love the Game UK, a football coaching and development company based in Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells. We were set up a year ago by former Brighton and Hove Albion Academy Lead Coach, Adam Simpson, who now heads up all of our football delivery at Love the Game UK. Table Tennis Club

Byng Hall TTC (named after the hall it was originally founded at in 1990) is based at St. John's CE Primary School. Byng Hall TTC is one of the few Advanced Level, 4 Star Premier Clubs in the country and was the South East winner of the 2007/08 Club of the Year Award presented by the English Table Tennis Association. The club focuses on all aspects of the game but also values good club spirit and a sense of belonging. The club makes use of up to 10 tables and over 50 individuals (aged 6 to 80)  benefit from five sessions each week. The club boasts some of the country's top players in the Under 11, Under 13, Under 15 and Under 18 categories as well as top Senior Men, Senior Women and Vetts. The club's greatest achiever to date is a 6x Paralympic Medallist (Gold, 3 Silver & 2 Bronze), 2x World Champion (2014 & 2022) and World ranked No. 1 Will Bayley MBE, who started his playing career at the age of 11.
