Charities We Support

The School Council have chosen to support Hospices of Hope this year!

  • Hospices of Hope was founded by Graham Perolls (Mrs Wilson in Year Five’s Dad) in 1991 following a trip to Romania where he met some local families and was concerned that very ill children and elderly people did not receive any care at all
  • Before 1991, there were no Hospices for poorly people in Romania to be looked after
  • Today, this Charity has built Hospices across the country and helps people in their homes
  • They have helped more than 40,000 patients across Romania, Moldova and Serbia
  • More funding is required as this is only helping 8% of everyone in the region that needs care

The school will also support two other charities this year:

  • Nourish Food Bank again with our Harvest Festival donations at the request of last year’s School Council
  • NSPCC with a spring time sponsored event
